Welcome to OnceGone. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the OnceGone platform and services (“Service”). By purchasing access and using the Service, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Service Overview
1.1 OnceGone is a digital legacy vault that allows you to securely upload and store digital files for future release to inheritors based on conditions you set (e.g., release date, inactivity timer, secret passcode).
1.2 The Service is operated in full compliance with European Union privacy and data protection laws.
1.3 OnceGone operates on a zero-knowledge principle. We do not access, read, or analyze your files.
2. Account Registration & Access
2.1 Upon purchase, you will receive a unique OnceGone ID and a secret passcode. These two credentials are the sole means of accessing your account and uploaded data.
2.2 OnceGone does not request, collect, or store any personal identifying information from you. Account setup is fully anonymous.
2.3 If you lose both your unique ID and passcode, access to your account and data is permanently lost. OnceGone cannot restore access. Data will only be released according to the release settings you configured (date, inactivity timer, passcode).
2.4 If you retain at least one credential, limited recovery support may be possible. You may contact support@oncegone.com for assistance.
3. Subscription & Payment
3.1 OnceGone offers a lifetime access subscription available for a one-time payment.
3.2 Payments are processed securely via Stripe. OnceGone does not store or process your credit card information directly.
3.3 All sales are final and non-refundable, except where required by law.
4. Data Uploads
4.1 You may upload digital files including, but not limited to: documents, images, videos, text files, digital asset credentials, and archives.
4.2 You are solely responsible for the content you upload. OnceGone does not monitor or review files.
4.3 You agree not to upload any material that is:
Illegal or prohibited under applicable law (e.g., child exploitation, terrorism-related material, hate content).
Infringing upon the intellectual property rights of others.
Malware, viruses, or harmful code.
4.4 Any violation of this section may result in immediate termination of your account without refund, and data may be removed if legally required.
5. Data Release
5.1 You configure how and when your data will be released:

Secret Passcode Access
5.2 Once the chosen condition is met, data will be released automatically to your inheritors or through passcode access.
5.3 OnceGone is not responsible for how your inheritors manage or use the released data.
6. Security & Privacy
6.1 Your data is encrypted and stored in undisclosed, secure facilities located within the European Union.
6.2 OnceGone has no access to the contents of your files.
6.3 Anonymity is integral to the Service: we do not collect personal information, and we cannot link your identity to your unique ID or passcode.
6.4 You are responsible for securely storing your unique ID, passcode, and any inheritor access details.
7. Service Availability
7.1 OnceGone implements geo-redundancy and backup measures to maximize reliability. However, uninterrupted service cannot be guaranteed.
7.2 In the event of downtime, data will remain preserved and accessible once service resumes.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 OnceGone provides the Service “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
8.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, OnceGone shall not be liable for:
Loss of access due to lost unique ID or passcode.
Unauthorized access caused by sharing your credentials.
Consequences of data release to inheritors.
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Termination
9.1 Accounts cannot be canceled for refunds once created, as access is lifetime.
9.2 OnceGone reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
10. Governing Law
10.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction in which OnceGone is established.
10.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in that location.
11. Amendments
11.1 OnceGone may update these Terms from time to time to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes.
11.2 Updates will be posted on our website with a revised “Last updated” date.
